Several years ago this bandstand was rebuilt using the original plans that had been saved. One interesting fact is there is a trap door leading to the upper floor reachable by ladder. This was for the many orators that came to town at that time. Needless to say, Orators are few and far between now and the trapdoor is not really used (nor is its use encouraged.
