It's great to see how this barn was taken care of-- unless they were able to cut costs by providing their own labor, what they did to preserve this barn's life is... V.E.R.Y EXPENSIVE!!!! If there isn't a regular "milk check" or some other kind of "cattle income" generated within a barn's walls, it is even HARDER to come up with enough money to keep it "alive 'n well". We spent about $8,000 a year ago just to re-paint all of our out buildings (and this was in our now post-milk check days), but seeing the end result is almost like "eye candy". I'm so glad we did it.
