Omigosh, I had almost forgotten! There was a park or forest preserve somewhere within driving distance from where we lived during my childhood (in Illinois). I think it must have been about an hour or more away because I can only remember going there a couple of times. There were two areas just like the one pictured above on the road going in and out of the park where the water flowed over the road and it was just magical for us children. Thanks for bringing this memory back to me!
