I much prefer it to lemon pies made with cornstarch. Also, during WWII and possibly during the Depression, families used to slowly simmer an unopened can of condensed milk. When cooled and opened fully, it had solidified and was similar to custard, I'm told. Between the Lemon Chiffon Pie and the Cherry Cheese Pie are hubby's favorites.<br />Pm the cherry cheese pie I don't put on the cherries until the pie is dished up on a plate; only then will I top it off with the cherry pie filling.<br />The Ever-So-Easy Fruit Cake I didn't care so much for but then I'm not a big hand of Fruit Cake.
