Quick Crescent Cinnamon Crispies

The Pillsbury Harvest Time Cookbook has a wide variety of recipes in it and was available in grocery stores in 1980. Today I tried one of the easy recipes as it has been so hot, and I didn’t want to have the oven on for very long, and wanted something easy to make.
They tasted good, were quick to make, but mine didn’t come out looking any where as nice as they were in the picture with the recipe. Needless to say, I must be rolling up dough challenged. Oh well, as long as they taste good.
Since this book came out, Pillsbury has come out with crescent dough in the can that is one sheet instead of separated for rolls. That would be easier to use in this recipe.
  Quick Crescent Cinnamon Crispies
8 ounce can Pillsbury Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
2 Tablespoons butter melted
⅓ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup finely chopped pecans
Heat oven to 375°F. Separate crescent dough into 2 large rectangles; seal perforations. Brush with melted butter. Combine sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle half over dough. Sprinkle with pecans.
Starting at shorter side, roll up rectangles. Cut each into 4 slices. On ungreased cookie sheet, pat or roll each slice to a 4 inch circle; sprinkle with remaining sugar-cinnamon mixture. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. 8 rolls
