Korean Goulash

The last recipe I am using from the Basics and More cookbook is called Korean Goulash.  It reminds me of the filling for egg rolls. Served over rice and adding crisp chow mein noodles on top makes a easy fast supper. Next time I would add some pineapple to the mixture. We felt it needed something sweet added to it.

 Korean Goulash
1 pound ground beef, pork or turkey (I used pork)
1 small onion
Salt and pepper to taste
2 ribs celery sliced
½ green or red pepper chopped
4 oz can mushrooms (I used fresh)
1 cup bean sprouts optional
½ cup sliced water chestnuts optional
Brown meat with onion and season with salt and pepper. Set aside. In a large skillet cook a very small amount of water with the remaining ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Cook just until crisp-tender. Add meat and heat through. Serve over hot rice with chow mein noodles. Season with Worcestershire Sauce or Soy Sauce.

    1. Hadn't thought of tiny corn. That's why I like Hot Dishes, you can add or omit without ruining the basic dish.
