Sunday in Iowa....
These unusual steps are at a side door on an abandoned storefront in Drakesville, Iowa. There is an Amish settlement with about 40 businesses around Drakesville, population 185, and Bloomfield, the county seat of Davis County.
I think peely painted places like this are SO attractive in many ways-- photographers, especially, like to take 'portrait' pictures in front of them, etc. I like YOUR photo of this, too. The 'concrete ramp' does add interest. To the owner, though, a scene like this too often just feels like "This needs to be re-painted or replaced." I can relate.
