Bavarian Custard

I have been in the mood for puddings lately. This recipe for Bavarian Custard from Land O Lake Best Loved Recipes, while not the real thing, which is a cooked custard, was simple, good and did not heat up my house. If you need a cool dessert quickly with a minimum of work this is for you. We enjoyed it with whipped topping and fruit. I had some blueberries so some of us had them with the custard.
Bavarian Custard
1 (3.4 oz.) package instant vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling
1 cup milk
1 cup sour cream
8 ounces of low fat vanilla flavored yogurt
Fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or fruit of your choice
 ﹡Substitute frozen thawed berries
In medium bowl place instant pudding. With wire whisk, stir in milk until mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.
Add sour cream and yogurt; whisk until smooth. Cover; refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Spoon custard into 8 individual dessert dishes; top with assorted berries.
