Family Favorites... Savory Pork Roast

Our local store had pork roasts on sale today, so that is what I fixed for supper. The store cut it in half for me, so it was about 3 pounds but it took almost the same amount of time and seasoning. There was some left over so will fix hot pork sandwiches later this week. This is a nice cold weather meal and easy to fix.
Savory Pork Roast

2 to 3 Tablespoons vegetable oil
3 Teaspoons sage leaves, crushed
½ teaspoon salt

Heat oven to 350°. Coat roast with oil, rub sage over entire roast. Place roast fat side up on rack in pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and roast for 2 to 3 hours or until meat thermometer registers 170°

This is a good recipe to use your home-dried sage.
