I had
everything on hand for this pretty, delicious salad…just had to make it! This isn't a new idea, but the oranges and
almonds update it. When I make it again,
I will probably cut the onions in half before slicing. The dressing is just right; and when you
spoon up your salad, you get some of all of the topping goodies too. This is perfect for a winter salad, but also
for picnics and BBQ’s where you can have it ready ahead of time.
Broccoli and Orange
Salad
3/4
cup Mayonnaise
1/4
Cup Sugar

tablespoons White Vinegar
16
ounces Broccoli Florets
1/2
Cup Golden Raisins
1/2
small Red Onion -- or purple,
thinly sliced
4
slices Bacon -- cooked and
crumbled
11
ounces Mandarin Orange -- drained
1/3
Cup Sliced Almonds -- toasted
Stir
together mayonnaise, sugar and white vinegar in a large bowl. Add broccoli and raisins; toss well. Cover and chill thoroughly.
Top with
onion, crumbled bacon, mandarin oranges and almonds.
