Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from our homes to yours.
In the small Minnesota town of the fifties and sixties, where Myrna and I grew up, we fondly remember the real evergreens stretched across main street, with large Christmas lights and ornaments, just like this painting of Falls City, Nebraska, during a little earlier era.
Wishing you peaceful, simpler holidays.

  1. Merry Christmas to you and yours! I am glad I found your blog some months back because the "homey" feel of it makes me think of things we did when I was a kid and all the things my Mother would do, canning, cooking, and all the other things I miss now that I am older.

  4. Thanks, 1st Man, I enjoy reading your blog about Houston as our older Sis lived there and Sue also.
Guess we will always be Minnesota people though.
Merry Christmas to both of you.

  5. The best of holiday wishes to you both and including your families, too, of course. I love the painting you put up with this post. To return to peaceful, simpler lives would be would be such a blessing for everyone when so many people seem to be living a life devoid of old-fashioned values and common sense. Let's all say a little prayer for that in the coming year of 2016!
