Hershey Chocolate Ice Cream

I have run across this recipe several times and never made it. Finally I decided to try it for everyone who does not have a ice cream maker.

I really should have tried it years ago. Great texture, super easy, and the chocolate flavor is just the way we like it. Keep in mind here that this is not a dark chocolate or an intense chocolate flavor. Just super smooth and creamy and more of a milk chocolate flavor. Only three ingredients, what could be easier! There is no second beating of the ice cream in this recipe. Really keeps it simple.

Chocolate Velvet Ice Cream
4 cups whipping cream
1 14 ounce can (1 ⅓ cups) sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand)
1 16 ounce can chocolate flavored syrup (Hershey)
¾ cup chopped nuts optional
In large mixing bowl combine everything but the nuts. Beat with electric mixer starting at low speed than to medium or high until soft peaks form. (tips curl)
Fold in chopped nuts if using.
Transfer to a 13 by 9 inch pan and freeze for 8 hours.

  1. Wow, that sounds almost too easy. And best of all, no calories!! (Hey, it's summer time and we're all working really hard outside, right?) ;o)

    1. Well, I might not be working as hard as you all are, thank goodness, but we enjoyed the ice cream anyway.
It really is just that easy to make and eat.
