At the Farmer’s Market on a Saturday morning, Myrna ran across this apron booth, and after I dropped off her homestead eggs from Don and Bonnie, it was early enough to stop by on the way home.
Of course, I had to buy some fresh green beans and look over the other offerings, but I was drawn to the apron booth, just as Myrna was. The vendor and her daughter are the seamstresses.

The child with the sweet corn was at the big Sweet Corn feed downtown on the square the same day.
I also would be drawn to the apron booth. I always enjoy wear aprons. I remember one day I had forgotten to take t off and ended up wearing it to town when I went to get groceries.
ReplyDeleteI love that the fabric of so many of the aprons looks old-fashioned and like ones my grandma always wore.
ReplyDeleteThey were so bright and lovely, Sue wears a apron a lot and I do some of the time. These are just the thing to have in your kitchen (and maybe to wear to town) lol
ReplyDeleteI throw on an apron every day. I love wearing aprons! I wish my aprons were as pretty as the ones you featured, but if nothing else, they keep my clothes clean.
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing these, I bought an apron pattern and made some for Myrna and me...I usually just wear plain, functional ones...we enjoyed some pretty ones like ladies used to wear.
DeleteThe aprons are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJ&J made one of my absolute favorite aprons years ago. It's a dog theme, black, white & red. I love it. I wore it for a work breakfast event where I was serving employees. I got loads of compliments on it. Here is the link to my apron. http://lifeontheveganedge.blogspot.com/search?q=apron For awhile, I thought they went out of business as the website address I have hasn't work in forever. Glad to see they are still making aprons.
ReplyDeleteI see their website doesn't work, as you say.
DeleteLove vintage/retro aprons. I have many, (plain and fancy) and wear them every day. I tried to find jandj's website but couldn't, i think no longer in business. :( I think my favorite apron is one called "The Pioneer Apron". it is a full length apron with large bib. I have both plain (for housework) and fancy (for serving at church) styles. https://recollections.biz/victorian/150808.html Blessings, Kim.
