Small town snow roundabouts...
The aftermath of a 8-10" snowfall Friday night into Saturday.
Snowpiles on several corners of the town square in Oskaloosa, Iowa, there are more for several more blocks.
They are cleared away overnight. Vehicles like the pickup in the bottom photo all go around on the right until they get to the street they want to take.
Like your photo but I do not miss them Iowa snow storms in the least. Just keep that snow up your way; OK :) Don't miss them 6ft or higher snow drifts one little bit.
ReplyDeleteWe really don't get much snow down here but we do get the icy roads and there are many who just don't know how to drive once the roads get that way.
Take care, stay safe and stay warm and keep the shiny side up and the rubber side down.
Love that photo! I didn't realize Oksaloosa had round abouts now. Guess it provides a good place to pile the snow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
They only have roundabouts when they have snow piling up! Otherwise they are regular intersections. That area is supposed to get 6 more inches of snow tonight.
DeleteAhhh... That explains the stop signs. Imagine there will be a lot of happy kids in the morning! Hope you and Myrna are safe and warm.
