No Fuss Bar Cookies

These easy, delicious bars are similar to the 7-layer Bar recipe most folks are familiar with, but they are not quite so over-the-top.  However, they are just about as easy to make.  Stir ‘em up, press them into the pan, bake, eat.  They freeze well too.  I used store-bought graham cracker crumbs, so I didn’t even have to crumble the crackers – this recipe is really no-fuss, perfect for picnics and barbeques.
                          No Fuss Bar Cookies
2              Cups  Graham Cracker Crumbs -- about 24 squares (6 ounces)
  1              Cup  Chocolate Chips -- 6 ounces
  1              Cup  Coconut -- flaked (4 1/2 ounces)
     3/4       Cup  Walnuts -- chopped (3 ounces)
  14            Ounces  Sweetened Condensed Milk
Preheat oven to 350°.  Combine crumbs, chips, coconut and walnuts in medium bowl; toss to blend.  Add milk; mix until blended.
Spread batter into greased 13 x 9" baking pan.  Bake 15-18 minutes or until edges are golden brown.  Let pan stand on wire rack until completely cooled.  Cut into 2 1/4" squares.

  1. Hello - what happens if I leave the coconut out of this recipe? And by the way, I am no longer getting daily emails from you? Have I been bad?

    1. I suspect it won't have the right consistency...probably this isn't the right recipe for you.
We're not techs, so we aren't sure why you aren't getting the email...maybe you want to sign up again?
