There are several recipes for Honey glazed chicken thighs and this one calls for baking them in the oven. Also, thighs are less expensive than chicken breasts and juicer and we think better tasting. I did leave the skin on but will try them without it next time. The skin tended to get a little soft and we would rather have it crispy. Buy them with the skin on and remove it yourself for a less costly cut.
For a simple glaze, you can’t beat this and it will work for any chicken cut, wings come to mind. If doing breasts or large thighs you might want to make one and a half times the glaze.
Honey Glazed Baked Chicken Thighs
4 bone in chicken thighs
2 Tablespoons honey
½ tablespoon white wine vinegar
¾ teaspoon cajun seasoning
Remove skin from thighs. Stir glaze ingredients together. Brush chicken with glaze on both sides and bake at 400 for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and brush one more time with glaze. Bake another 20 minutes or until done.
Do not serve any remaining glaze with chicken as it has been contaminated with raw chicken. If you wish to serve some of the glaze with the chicken, save some out before you start glazing so it won't be contaminated. Heat before serving.
