    The Aviation Orange-and-white checkerboard marking is a standard requirement for "hazards to aviation".
    Does the structure show a light at night as well?

      Don't know about a light at night...we only drive by it occasionally in the daytime, but it is somewhat close to a small local airport.
      Usually water towers around here are white or sky blue, I think most of them have a flashing light at night.
