This is a bridge across a creek at Thomas Mitchell Park
between Altoona and Mitchellville, Iowa
Mitchell was the first settler in Polk County and later the sheriff. He built his first cabin here in 1844.
Polk county is also home to the state capitol.
Them bridges are so cool. I would love to have a small creek running on our property just so I could have a bridge going across. They make for wonderful 'props' for taking photo shoots.
