Sunday in Iowa...

It's a little unusual to find roses untouched by frost by this time in November in Iowa.
These are blooming on the bandstand square in Oskaloosa, Iowa

    1. We had a little snow this week...melted already. Why I don't live in Minnesota anymore!
As we were backing out of a friends driveway in Mpls. one winter, my husband (a native Iowan) asked me if I missed Minnesota...I looked at the snowbanks higher than our car on either side of the driveway and didn't even have to think before saying "No!".

  2. Me; I don't miss the Iowa winters one little bit. I remember when my dad would clean out our long driveway (lived on a farm) and the banks where 10-12 feet high on each side. No thank you. In Texas we get more ice than snow and let me tell you; people just do not know how to drive when the roads are icy.

I believe them are knock-out roses which can take some cold unless you have a really hard freeze but they are pretty hardy.

    1. Coleen...those freezing rains are one reason I don't live in Texas anymore! Of course my Iowa husband is the main reason.
