    Back in Illinois where I grew up, almost every farm yard had a circle of these in their front yard which I found curious. Loved them though. These are gorgeous, but when sitting on that nice porch, can you see through/over them?

      I wouldn't think the homeowners could see over them...they may like the privacy?

      Probably because of the cold winter...even in Southern Iowa they have to be dug up and stored over the winter.
