We hosted 24 members of my husband's family and everyone had a good time (at least they said they did!). We haven't hosted in years, so we enjoyed the challenge. You can't prep too much, that's for sure!
Compliments of the Season to you from across the miles, and thank you for your posts which are always appreciated and enjoyed. Love the Rockwell picture! - Valerie, NZ
Yes, mid-summer: long hours of daylight; camping and beach vacations, boating, barbecues and picnics - love it! Fresh peas, new potatoes, salads and fresh cherries available for Christmas Day - and the best of Northern Hemisphere traditions as well.
It's the morning of New Year's Eve as I write, so I'll take the opportunity to wish you all the best for the New Year in 2020.
Thanks so much for your posts, always nice to hear from you. Sounds like you were busy. And, yes, I do think the great granddaughter is sweet and she is a happy and ACTIVE child.

Ah. Valerie...we are jealous, although we had a warm (for us) December. Good wishes for the new year.
DeleteWe did. Worked on the house a lot. But, we are always working on the house or the property.
