My son Dave sent me this photo with the following comment: “Instant pot Swiss steak made by wonderful wife”!
Myrna has been downsizing and decided she just didn’t use her instant pot enough anymore to justify space for it. Her daughter, Amy, felt she didn’t have enough space to keep it either, so Michelle and Dave were the lucky beneficiaries. Michelle hadn’t jumped on the bandwagon for Instant Pots because she felt there were too many other things on their homestead that needed the money, but she was happy to get one! Dave was "almost" as enthused about their “new-to-them” tractor they got at the same time…he plans to use it with a plow attachment to clean snow from their steep driveway and to help around the place, including clearing downed trees from their woodlot.
There's that swiss steak again...I made the one you posted a few weeks ago and it was so good.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it...it's certainly an old recipe...I made it, in a regular pressure cooker, when our son was growing up; and it was popular when Myrna and I were teenagers too. It was a Sunday or guest meal back then that wasn't too expensive.
