The Keokuk County Fairgrounds
In What Cheer, Iowa
About the only time of year they are quiet;
although they usually have bingo in the winter, and harness racing, figure 8 car races, motocross, tractor pulls in season and a huge, well-known flea market that is usually on in May, August and October, as well as the county fair.
Looks like a neat place to have near by. Yucky snow though.
ReplyDeleteIf Texas received that much snow here, the state would come to a stand-still. So many just don't know how to drive on snow or ice or even rainy, wet roads. Not saying that about all Texans, just those that have never driven on snow, wet, icy roads before. Thing to do here is just stay at home when we're having some serious bad weather.
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon they are predicting snow, rain & possibly sleet. :{
The figure 8 races are just as exciting to watch as are the Demolition Derby Trailer Races.
I went to high school and college, and worked until I got married in Texas...you can keep that freezing rain!
DeleteYou have much more snow there than we do up here in northern Minnesota!
ReplyDeleteI bet that for a market is FANTASTIC! Must put attending this on my retirement to-do list!
