If you’re going to use up some fruit, whether it's apples, lemons, strawberries, rhubarb, pineapple, peaches, plums, raisins, blueberries or any other fruit, a pie or crisp or cobbler is the best way! You can mix your fruits and often substitute fruits in recipes to make use of what you have.

Pies, pies! I love pies. And, for some reason, no trouble getting rid of them around here. We may go on a pie diet soon. Still have raspberries, blueberries, pumpkin and rhubarb in the freezer that I thought we would have devoured this winter. Well, we did eat our share of all of them, but apparently I put by more than we needed!

ReplyDeleteI always enjoy your posts. We cook a lot alike. I like your recipes - it is just the two of us (and the dog) so whatever I cook, we eat several times and/or freeze the rest. We try really hard to waste nothing! Keep up the good work please.
